Laser BleachingLaser bleaching simply consists of using a very strong teeth whitening solution and "activating" the solution with
laser or other high
intensity light. Due to the strength of the teeth whitening
solution this procedure must be undertaken in the dental office. Recent
research, however, has proven this concentrated teeth whitening gel
is just as effective without light "activation" and, in fact, gives the exact
same results when used alone. The "laser" concept is more marketing hype than
fact. Does this procedure work? Yes, but it can take up to three dental office
visits or more, cost up to $1000 and often results in post treatment tooth
sensitivity. Also laser teeth whitening needs to be redone on a
regular basis or maintained with a custom tray teeth whitening system like
FastWhite. Is the final result better than the FastWhite System? No, your final
result will not be as good as the FastWhite results, additionally, you can
touch-up any time you like with your
FastWhite Teeth Whitening SystemCrest White Strips®Crest White Strips® are self-adhesive plastic strips that are designed to stick to the teeth and release teeth whitening gel. Do they
work? Well sort of. First, most users find them difficult to properly position
and keep in place for the recommended time. Second, they must be used twice a
day for up to four weeks. Third, they only cover the front six teeth and don't
fit large, small or crooked teeth properly. They can help whiten the front teeth
but your smile becomes "two toned". Look in a mirror. When you smile you show
teeth behind the canines. With White Strips® the teeth behind the canines stay
dark making the smile two different shades, dark and light. This is not the case
with the FastWhite System that
treats all the teeth uniformly.
